<aside> 💡 TL;DR I transitioned from Accounting to Product Design in 2020, driven by a blend of creativity and analytical thinking. My journey spans from creating art for local communities, connecting with people in hospitality to diving into competitive design environments in South Korea. At Duotone, I thrived in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, delivering strategic design solutions. My work is driven by a passion for people-centred design, advocating for sustainability, social inclusivity, and mental health.

I initially majored in Accounting because of my natural aptitude for technical and analytical work, even though my passion leaned towards Visual Design. While accounting honed my efficiency and pragmatic skills, the creative spark never dimmed. After reflecting on what I enjoyed, what I excelled at, and where I saw myself in the future, Product Design emerged as the perfect intersection. This realisation motivated my shift into a field where I could be both creative and strategic, solving real-world problems through design.
My journey through accounting, hospitality, and now product design has given me a unique perspective. Accounting taught me the value of precision and efficiency, while hospitality emphasised empathy and communication. These experiences allow me to approach design with both analytical rigour and a deep understanding of user needs. I’m able to see challenges from multiple angles, balancing creativity with practicality to create designs that are both innovative and user-centred.
For me, design isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about solving real problems and making a lasting impact. I’m driven by a passion for understanding users and creating designs that advocate for sustainability, social inclusivity, and mental health. My diverse experiences—from hospitality and accounting to product design—have shaped me into a versatile designer who thrives on challenges and is always eager to learn and grow.
